I don't see why we can't have it both ways.

Something we consider God might be a natural effect. It might be a cause onto itself. It might be a scientific fact. It could be self-created. It could be as natural as whatever this earth is capable of producing without any help from us. It would exist as a natural way. We just place too much of our own likeness on it.
