I mean have you seen "The Golden Child" before? It's a really good movie. And it can't get a BluRay release because of China, obviously, because it's about Tibet and Nepal. I challenge you to name a better Eddie Murphy movie with a broader appeal; it's his best all-ages classic movie. You know how Hollywood sometimes makes movies with similar ideas in pairs because studios copy eachother? Like one studio started to make "Braveheart" and so another studio started to make "Rob Roy" at the same time? Well the same thing happened with "The Golden Child" and "Big Trouble In Little China" which are both action comedies about East Asian mysticism. They are both special movies from a special place and time. |
