Police do not prevent crime. There is evidence they not only do not even discourage it, they seem to create it. They come after you're either already dead or raped or robbed.

Suggesting that our society live without police or laws is simply a faulty extreme position, and batshit crazy, but so is the opposite "head in the sand" position that LE and the judicial system are serving the citizens who employ them.

Factually, police departments need major reform across the country, and many have reached a point of operating like the mafia.

If you are a citizen, regardless of skin color and other labels, you simply are not part of "the club" to use the phrase of George Carlin.

LE and the judicial systems became this way because they police themselves and are immune from accountability through laws such as "qualified immunity". These systems are now run to serve the systems and the "members" of the systems, and as a citizen you aren't part of that club.

I have personally had two situations twenty five years apart dealing with two different but equally unhinged people (mental instability with criminal behavior) who crossed my path. Both situations in two different jurisdictions, the system enabled and promoted criminals and police criminal activity, which as a result created more victims. In both cases, the latter has been proven; it's not speculation.

As a law abiding citizen, I was not part of "the club". The system as it is currently set up and being run is about winning, not upholding law, not due process, not civil rights, not justice. Hell, it's not even concerned about fact.

The 'members' in each of their roles want to "win" - egosyntonic serving self and the system of which you are not a member.

The cause of police and judicial reform is quite legitimate, but it has been overtaken by even more people with egosyntonic agendas and has been diluted to all or nothing, black and white thinking...and as demonstrated by the sparring discussion in this thread, no gray areas, and that's where most civilized people reside. It's also the only place where real and lasting improvements can be achieved.

And, yes, effective police and judicial reform was needed decades ago.

As for the domestic terrorists, anarchists, murderers and their enablers, they each should be held to account through arrest, trial and, hopefully, if justice is served, imprisoned. But they won't as long as the 'members of the club' can act with impunity and do so "under the color of law" used to serve them.

Police policing themselves and attorneys, DAs, judges and politicians having "qualified immunity" must be stopped. Just like the mafia, they should not have protections for crimes against citizens or society.

Lavoy struggling to stand in knee deep snow was filled with bullets from behind.
