Maybe they went along with it to destroy Hollywood, sports, and ultimately media. These industries have become the enemy of the people, maybe the bigger plan was to break the foundational grip they hold on the masses. Get people fired up from being duped. Hopefully forcing reforms and balanced representation along the way.
