The reality is that there were 10 times more cases of rape of French women in 2 months after the American breakout from Normandy than in 4 years of the German occupation.

There was a somewhat prominent case after the war regarding the rape of a 12-year-old German girl. Seven US Army black servicemen were sentenced, by a military court, to death for the rape--they were clearly guilty. Eisenhower pardoned them.

WW2 saw some very significant dehumanizing of the enemy--and it was not all from the "bad guy's".
