Trump says schools teaching the 1619 Project will NOT be funded | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15114335 United States 09/06/2020 02:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How about we just end Jimmy Carter's Federal Dept of Ed? We don't need it, let the states run their own public education schools. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78858727 Tell the schools and those that administer and teach in them that and watch the reaction you get. Most get a large percentage of funding from the Fed Gov. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15114335 United States 09/06/2020 02:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As usual Trump is all talk, con, tweets but zero real action. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70947219 Note the article says "could" lose federal funding. Trump will use this issue to create chaos but wake me up when he actually DOES something. If you're saying he's not conservative enough and doesn't enact a more aggressive, follow-through form of rightism, I can't disagree with you. I trust, therefore, you sure as hell haven't through the years been easygoing about, if not even rather warm-hearted towards, a variety of hosebag liberals. Oh, what's that you say? It has been obvious to anyone with a functioning brain cell that the left has been brain washing kids in K-12 school with leftie communist ideology. Trump has had 4 years to do something. He hired a mega rich gadabout with zero experience managing issues and large organization for Education Secretary who has done nothing. Trump uses these issues to rally his base but Trump seldom follows up and actually DOES anything. Trump was going to build a wall, lock Hillary up, deport illegals, repeal DACA, executive order against anchor babies, cut off the massive visa foreign worker program etc etc but Trump has not actually DONE any of these. He knows all he has to do is pander to white racists to please his base. They are so stupid they don't notice that he says and what he does are never the same thing. When I was in public school I was never taught about out real history. I was taught a fairy tale, essentially. I never even realized how entrenched slavery was in our history, especially in the northern states and in our pre-revolution history.. |

What makes me the most angry is that no one seems to care about the current sex slave trade going on. If these people could stop talking about what happened hundreds and thousands of years ago- maybe we could get something done about the human beings being sold TODAY. And because there isn’t- I don’t think any of these people actually care about slavery- it’s just a cover for a Marxist revolution. |

I took my youngest 2 to visit Jamestown & Williamsburg just before school started and made it a point to teach early American history this year. As parents, we must ensure our children are taught real history and not history “reimagined.” Whoever controls the schools rules the world- and they can rewrite it to fit their needs. Our story is our story- good or bad. But this 1619 garbage is just that- garbage, and should not be taught in schools. When I was in elementary school in Virginia. They took us on field trips to Jamestown and other places, like Yorktown battlefield. Yes I'm very old LOL Williamsburg used to do the revolutionary re-enactments. Cannons firing red coats and blue coats. It was fun stuff. Great post. I believe in science NOT religion. Giving me bad karma for that, is anti-religious (you're passing judgement) I am just a man. Of no significance. Who found religion to be full of lies, and wrong doing, conflicted teachings I understand microwave communications. I do not stand for the NWO, it sucks. |

Slaves hardly existed in the northern states. Slaves were only a significant part of the country in southern states. And they contributed almost nothing there except easily replaceable labor. Focusing on slavery would be like treating Mexicans in our time as the heart of our country. Anyone alive and with a functioning mind today knows that’s just stupid. How many know one of the largest slave owners in SC during the War Between the States was a freed slave who then bough slaves himself? Government schools teach a false anti White curriculum. |

Trump, thank God, has more sanity and humanity than that. Just like corruption, hypocrisy etc, virtue signaling exists on both sides. This nonsense is a prime example. “The action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue.” Basically this is Trump making another promise that he can’t and won’t fulfill, but that serves to remind his base he’s “on their side” |
