According to what I am reading, this is a Bush legistlation from 2007. Furthermore, apparently: Conservative activist Jerome Corsi and Marjorie Cohn of the National Lawyers Guild have said that this is a violation of the Constitution of the United States

I'm the one who originally posted the info about the NSPD-51 - thanks for picking up the ball and running with it!

As I pointed out in my presentation from yesterday, this is the most powerful law on the books - so powerful that using it will either make or break this nation. Luckily, we have a man in office who's well-equipped to use NSPD-51 wisely.

I would like to mention again that this law was actually conceived by Bill Clinton [with more than a little influence from his evil spouse] which only proves once again that you should always be careful what you wish for!

Another aspect of this directive I'd like to highlight is how it fully dovetails with Dick Cheney's adherance to the concept of a "Unitary Executive"; since George Bush signed the NSPD-51 into law in 2007, it's safe to assume that Cheney was the man behind inking up that pen [since he was also instrumental in the creation of the DHS and Patriot Act]. Remember also that Bush's creation of the DHS post-9/11 was another big step in unitizing federal agencies as it absorbed 21 of them under one singularly-controlled umbrella.

It's worth noting that President Trump has broadly hinted several times about the vast scope of his Executive powers and each time he has been hammered by the Leftist media for claiming he even had any. But, their furor quickly withered away because the threat alone was staggering to them. They KNOW what that activation would mean and are scared to death of it... as is Trump.

The responsibility that man bears is crushing and totally unlike that any other President has ever faced because he has the very real option of fully restructuring all three branches of the U.S. federal government.

While in 1861 Lincoln illegally used such powers to suspend habeas corpus and enact martial law, Trump can do so without impunity but neither could ever do so without dire consequences. Lincoln's action jump-started a Civil War that lasted four years and cost 650,000 American lives.

Trump's would be no less costly and that's just ONE reason he won't enact NSPD-51 until it's absolutely necessary.
