Food and Drug Administration:

As you are well aware, AstraZeneca are conducting trials for their Covid-19 vaccine in numerous countries, including the UK and US.

Two volunteers in the UK trial developed symptoms of transverse myelitis according to the New York Times. Transverse myelitis has been scientifically linked to vaccines. According to Reuters, the FDA is still investigating this safety issue.

Can you confirm or deny that, if another trial volunteer develops symptoms of transverse myelitis, the trial will be deemed un-safe to continue and scrapped?

You may be aware that some volunteers have quit in the Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine trial in Spain after news of side effects in the AstraZeneca's trial. Obviously, the public are very anxious about safety issues surrounding AstraZeneca’s vaccine.
