If we had free energy, we could also have free food, a'la the replicators in Star Trek.

Free food also frees the entire industry of animal livestock, and planting. Millions of acres now used for farming could be given up for more peaceful uses!

We could also recycle our waste products into fresh products. 3D printers are getting nearer to a sci fi replicator... I think someone has already printed a steak..

There's so very much that could and would need to be done, everyone could be productive....everyone could have a meaningful job, something that has them feeling accomplished!


I mean, can you imagine coming home from your four hour (yep, only four hours in my imagination) work day, feeling like you've worked towards making everything better?

I always thought it would be nice of our military was used more often to dispense humanitarian aid, as we know now, many times the aid is high jacked, and the needy never receive it. Maybe we could try harder in delivering that?



There really is enough to go around. Water too. Coffee too. Give the people of Africa the benefit of Africa's natural resources. That is one of the worst displays of injustice.

Without having seen the movie, I have often thought to myself, no Advanced Civilization will help others who do not themselves help others. I think if you do not help others, you certainly should not ever expect you will be helped nor even deserve it.

It was such an easy thing I asked....but people seem to think using our imaginations is a waste....even one thinking using our imaginations is going against God.

Why would we have to give up anything? With genetic & molecular engineering & nanotechnology combined, we could basically become food alchemists and lab grow any protein including porterhouse steaks and replicate it molecule for molecule without any sentient being having to suffer or be affected at all.

Of course eventually a "molecular rights" movement would materialize, but were keeping it positive so I wont go there.

Well, that 3D printed steak isn't my idea of looking like progress.....I mean, it doesn't even sound right, yet I do like your thinking!

But honestly, I'm having a hard time imagining the marriage of technology and food being....healthy....but I'm seeing that's probably my own distrustful programming because of the frankenfood we're now given to eat....in stores, not homegrown.

We need a good thread! Everything is trying to drag us down. Work 3 days a week, plenty of work to go around for everyone. Then we have time to work on our interests and take care of families. People do what they can. Stop taxing us then we can take care of our family members ourselves. People cry that 15 an hour minimum wage is undoable...if minimum wage had kept up it would be 25 right now. We can see from the profits companies make that there is plenty. Illegal immigrants go back to their own nations and work there to fix their nations. Make it easier to buy local produce and goods, opposite of what they did right now where they kept only the big corporations open. I'm not talking socialism, I'm talking family and community. But like one of the founding fathers said, this nation can only work with a good and moral people
Encourage people to grow what they can themselves, no more poisoned seeds or water.

It is always darkest before a new day. Most have focused on the dark of the night. Kudos to the OP for pushing us to imagine what the coming day of light could be. If humanity understands that the entire universe is energy and that we are co-creators with that energy, then the collective consciousness of all of us focused on positive things would create a new reality. First we recognize the underlying unity with everything in the universe. Second, we live to do no harm, but to be a blessing to others and everything around us. Third, we imagine how the new reality would operate in harmony. When you look at wildlife, vegetation, etc. They do not pay rent to exist. They exist to fulfill their purpose. Telepathic communication to eliminate poor communication which is the source of most conflicts among humans. Teleportation and/or anti-gravity flying devices to eliminate the need for fossil fuels. Humans acquiring the ability for sustenance from just absorbing the free energy all around us. Most of the Science Fiction technology may be achievable so some of that may fit well into this new reality.

It should be a reality of unity and love since everything is energy and interconnected. I see a new reality where energy and all the resources for our existence are readily available for us to use in our efforts to fulfill whatever purpose the Creator has for us to complete.

According to Richard Conn Henry, a leading physicist at John Hopkins University in a paper entitled "The Mental Universe", physicist are being force to admit that the universe is a mental construction. So it behooves us to assist in the mental construction efforts. That means that anything that we can imagine could be possible in this mental universe.
