HURRICANE SALLY 65-90 MPH IN 8 HOURS - TO UTTERLY SMASH NEW ORLEANS

Hurricane Sally has increased in strength over the past eight hours, from 65 MPH maximum SUSTAINED winds, to now 90 MPH. Her forward motion has slowed, meaning she will spend more time over very warm coastal waters, which will cause significant additional strengthening before landfall.

Metro New Orleans is in the storm cross-hairs and is likely to be hit extremely hard.

Forecast models also show rainfall amounts from 25 to 30 inches from this storm, meaning horrific flooding will also take place.
