That made me live with compassion and mercy for others.

Everything it its own time. There is a reason for everything.
Maybe in 10 years, I couldn't NOT see it even if I tried my best to ignore, deny, hide, and bargain with myself etc etc. It's just a downward spiral to avoid the unconditional truth.
That made me want to know and learn more about God. Knowing always builds trust until that advantage is betrayed. But isn't that the "crux" of what we're discussing in everything in our lives?
Take rejection a step further. I don't reject the world, but reject the behaviors of those in the world. Who is to say that a lamb shouldn't lie down with a lion? Or a child shouldn't play over a serpent's den? Do you see the polarity? Temporal versus Eternal? Physical or Flesh versus Spirit?
All that there is deserves compassion which denotes automatic consideration. Unconditional Love.

Just think, what would evil target of a person to compromise them or stop or hinder their progress spiritually?
Only the ego would be offended.
