If you remember basic science class from grade school, you'll also remember that water is the ONLY molecular compound that EXPANDS when in its solid form. What this means is, when water is frozen, it displaces MORE VOLUME than when it is in liquid form.

Example: fill a glass 3/4 full will water. Then, add ice to fill the glass as near to the top as you can. Mark the water level. Then wait for the ice to melt. You will notice that the water level has gone down.

So, how much of this polar ice is waterborne, and how much is on a land mass?

Land also has water underground. Don’t forget the lakes and rivers. So basically the ice melting off the land will also have no real effect on the sea levels

Yes and Greenland had plenty of forests just around 1000 years ago and somehow it's still not warm enough for trees to start growing all over the place again. My land was a dry and warm steppe around 5000 years ago, but around 3600 years ago it turned into somehing more similar to the contemporary Amazon. 1400 years ago people around here had to gather in special camps/enclosures to survive winter thanks to heat island effect, but around 800 years ago there were vineyards all over the place.

Melting ice will not and cannot raise the sea level. Test it yourself with a bunch of ice and water in a large bowl. Mark the water level with the ice. Let it melt and look what happens.

This is the ANTARCTIC they are talking about. These are glaciers that are on land that are threatening to be allowed to slide into the ocean.

So its like, put water in a bowl. Mark the level. Then put some ice in it and mark the level. How much difference has there been? THAT is your sea level rise. If you had stopped at your second sentence, you would have been on the mark. The increase between step one and step two is what the issue is.
