He received 8 deferments for college. More college deferments than Donald Trump! Once Biden graduated college and ran out of deferments at the age of 25-26, he claimed he had asthma in high school. He didn't have it at age 25-26...he said he had asthma in high school. Yet he played first string football. No asthma then! But he was excused from serving. Biden was more eligible to serve during the Vietnam War because he's older than Trump. By the time Trump graduated college, the Vietnam War was winding down. He wouldn't even have had to serve. The draft was almost over. How do I know? Because my husband was drafted but was never sent to Vietnam. We spent 3 1/2 years in Germany. He's older than Donald Trump. Once Trump graduated from college, the draft was practically over. They were bringing guys back from Vietnam. Funny how many of you have no idea how it worked back then. Once graduating college, the graduate received their draft notice almost one year after graduation. Once receiving a draft notice....let's say in March, you were to report to basic training in September. Basic training, plus AIT (Advanced Individual Training), takes six months.
