She's just embarrassed of how she acted when she was younger and is trying to change public perception due to her irrelevance. She hasn't been relevant in over 10 years. Strong, powerful women are "in" now and she wants to ride that wave, while downplaying her straight up idiocy.

I saw something wonderful in her when she was recorded leaving jail for some offense. She held her head high in a positive way with her humanity showing loud and clear.

There are lots of heiresses who don't accomplish what Paris has accomplished. So while she has had definite advantages, she hasn't thrown them away.

It's always the direction we are heading in that really matters. She has chosen hers, and we should expect her to continue growing magnificently with the normal setbacks and challenges along the way.

She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in that respect. Hepburn devoted the last decades of her life to volunteer work in Africa. Paris probably won't go that route, but her contributions could be of the sort that touches people's hearts.
