Depends on the face, but few can really wear it well.

It’s a sad thing how American women are fat, and as they age, they cut their hair off. Seems like they either have a problem with femininity or they just do not understand it.

here's the deal ladies... you have to be INCREDIBLY beautiful and slim to pull off the short pixie hair look. top 1% only. on everyone else it looks horrendous. you need cheekbones and a well proportioned head in relation to your body otherwise it looks awful.

what's so sad about it? That's god's/nature's way of saying do no procreate with this fatass?

Yep. I really don’t love my short do, but I lose alot during especially bad digestive flareups. No choice but to cut it so it’s not just strings and patches.

I have natural curly hair and I wear it long, about 6 inches below my shoulders.I absolutely hate short hair on myself.
FYI, I am 66.It seems that you are expected to cut off all of your hair once you hit the 40 mark.I do color it, and have for a long time, as I started to turn gray at 27.

Some women look stunning with short hair, and some women like the no fuss aspect. To each their own. If you want to try the style and see if it's a fit for you then go for it! It is worth a try for sure. It will always grow back.

I have curly hair so I will never have the opportunity to get any type of short hairstyle without looking ridiculous. So consider yourself blessed that you can try a pixie cut if you like!

I keep my hair platinum blonde, and also keep my roots my natural light brown/dirty blonde. My mom said in the 90s it was called "white trash hair" , but it suits my curls, gives them dimension, and goes with my skin tone nicely so

I had long hair for years. It was almost always in a bun or ponytail because it was too hot and/or humid most of the time. Two years ago I cut it short - super short in the back, longer in the front and sides. It is 1000 times cooler (I live in the tropics without AC) and when I scrunch it when wet, it dries to soft, sexy curls. Even my guy friends who love long hair on women said it is much cuter/sexier short.

I may it out to shoulder length next year for more style options, but reality is that it will be styled in a ponytail or clip most if the times.

Ask a very skilled and highly visual hairdresser if you have the facial shape to complement short hair.

I've been stuck with short hair my entire life as it just didn't grow and hairdressers would ignore my wishes to not "even out the ends."

Finally I discovered hair vitamins and special oils. In just a few months my hair has really grown, and is now very thick, curly, and way past my shoulders. I don't care what they say about older women needing short hair, no thanks.

Actresses who cut their hair short often do so as it's over processed due to constant dieting and daily styling on sets.

Many resort to hair extensions, falls, wigs, and other types of fake hair like Lynda Carter on Wonder Woman.

I agree with you and tiger on older women cutting their hair short. It's so unnecessary! My art teacher was in her late 60s and had beautiful long salt and pepper hair that she wore in a long messy, artsy, braid everyday. I decided I'm not cutting my hair when I get older.

I had long hair all my life. I don’t think I could cut my curly hair. I remember my years living in my rainforest with no ac and the humidity too. Do you like braids? I love them. It helps me keep my hair untangle.

Personally I don’t think many women look nice with short hair, they have to be cute first and then the short hair. Sometimes they resemble boys, yech!
