They continue to tell us this with absolutely NO STANDARDS REQUIRED for WHAT MASKS TO WEAR! Sure, there are some cool looking cloth masks out there but do you think anyone is actually washing them AFTER EACH USE? Something that is REQUIRED if you are going to use them! They have told us for months now about all the requirements if we want to go out to eat, go to work, a ballgame or whatever and yet they have imposed ZERO requirements for these MASKS, the vast majority that do absolutely NOTHING to prevent Covid. I believe the dangers from Covid are real...to a point! But I also believe we have been LIED to on a mass basis, the question is....WHY. Quoting: FeedYourHead A couple of weeks ago on my FB page I posted several ads from chain stores selling masks... and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM clearly stated on the packaging, "NON-MEDICAL FACE MASK" - words that were also included in the ad copy. And these weren't just cheap make-a-quick-buck products, but also included HANES, the #1 selling underwear brand in the nation. Their boxes downplayed their worthlessness even more by pushing "Soft Cottony Blend" "Washable" and "Reusable" as their selling points... but not one single word about their medical efficacy. They might as well have said they were made of recycled Charmin toilet paper! I don't know which is worse: the people hustling those fashion-print atrocities for $5.99 in convenience stores coast-to-coast or the company relentlessly hawking the "Copper-Infused" models for $19.99 on TV ads. But they are ALL pieces of shit for doing so and continuing to demand we wear the useless fuckers for the rest of our lives.
