Two Lawyer BLM Protesters Face Up To Life In Prison For Allegedly Torching Police Vehicle

"Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman, two lawyers and Black Lives Matter protesters who hit the streets of Brooklyn following the death of George Floyd, face up to life in prison for allegedly setting a police vehicle ablaze via Molotov cocktail.

The duo face “seven federal charges, including arson, conspiracy, and the commission of a ‘crime of violence’ employing what the law defines as a ‘destructive device.'”

The charge concerning a “destructive device,” Tobin explained, “means that if they are convicted they will have to automatically serve a sentence that is three times longer than if they had used a gun: a mandatory minimum term of 30 years. With the other charges thrown in, each is looking at the possibility of ‘non-negotiable’ sentences of 45 years to life in prison.”

Contrast this story of the left BLM lawyers with the peaceful protests of the School of Americas for the past 30 years. The School of Americas, renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, teaches psychopaths how to use their evil hearts in the most vile ways. I doubt these BLM lawyers who want to get rid of the police have ever heard of the School of Americas.

In 1998, Rev. Bill Bichsel of Tacoma was sentenced to a year in federal prison for participating in a 1997 protest at the School of the Americas. He and several others admitted prying metal letters from the sign at Fort Benning's main gate to make room for the handprints they made with a mixture of red paint and blood.

In 2001, in Columbus, Ga., U.S. Magistrate G. Mallon Faircloth sentenced Franciscan nun Dorothy Hennessey, 88, and her younger sister, Gwen, 68, who is also a Franciscan nun, to six months each in federal prison for trespassing on federal property, as if an American is not entitled to go in federal land.

Judge Faircloth sentenced 26 peaceful protestors to federal prison, including an elderly Quaker couple from Ohio -- Bill Houston, 72, and Hazel Tulecke, 77. Most of those sentenced go the max, but two got off with a few years probation. One man from Mississippi, Steve Jacobs, received two 6-month sentences.

If nuns protesting well documented human rights abuses get jail, then two lawyers tossing Molotov cocktails into cars deserve punishment to the max. Funny how Ameroca-hating SJWs never mention Fort Benning, Gitmo, or torture programs funded by tax dollars.
