How many 22LR rounds would you keep on hand for SHTF?

I can't see the point of carrying heavy ammo if you have to leave suddenly or bug out because you can't carry enough of it. That's why the 22LR rifle is the SHTF KING (I have done plenty of research on it). 1000 rounds of 22LR is light and will easily fit into your hiking backpack.

I have about 4,000 rounds of 22LR, two pistols, a rifles, 50 rounds of 12 gauge buck shit, 10 slugs and a short barrel shotgun packed neatly away for my bug out gear.

He's not wrong. Besides, it's easier for me to buy a couple thousand rounds with a new gun than it is to buy the bullets by themselves. Local gun stores are limiting ammo purchases unless you buy a gun.

A pellet gun works about the same as a 22 and dose not scare the critters.

Around here we drop some 22 into the Halloween bags. It best the hell out of candy bars.

Since town is a sixty mile round trip you have to keep a brick or two for the neighbors for when the grandkids run out. They keep replacing it with old scotch for some reason.

You'll ONLY need one, to put into your own brain. They'll be useless for anything else.

I got like 2700 rounds or so?if I run outta that and im still needing to feed myself in the woods. Ill just set deadfalls or snares . Ill probably get a spear at some point. Got 2 cast nets and live near salt fresh and brackish water..
