I spent a couple months long ago..about 30 years ago in that city tending a brother having a bone marrow transplant for Leukemia... (it did work.. he walks the planet still and is well) His room over looked the Bay.

I loved that city while I was there and it pains me personally to watch its destruction.

I'm a pretty happy kind of guy. When I went to Seattle I would go into bars, be my happy self, and no one would have anything to do with me.

Seeing how depressed everyone was, I tried an experiment. Started going into bars, moaning about my luck, crying about everything... and everyone loved me. Fit right in.

Couldn't get out of that morose depressing town fast enough and never went back.
