An emp would be a temporary outage for us. They couldn’t take down the entire system so it would be for nothing. They would only cause the destruction of their own country.
An emp absolutely causes no fear unless it’s a wide full scale outage which isn’t possible.

The U.S. electric grid system is separate pieces of a whole, if one (sector) goes down the others will likely suffer major Brown-out's, as the rest of the grid system would have to release percentages of their power to the sector that was hit, that is as soon as they would be back to the point of being able to receive it and that could be months to years.

It is possible actually, and this has been proven several times.

However I do not see an EMP happening here unless there was several instances of self sabotage internally by people within our own power grid systems/military defense systems all over the country.

I said this a long time ago too...you could fake a large scale EMP attack simply by launching a massive computer systems attack on the countrys power grids, which could also happen with the assistance of insiders.

That is my biggest worry currently, as we have seen that we have a lot of the enemy among us as politicians, top military leaders, etc. Not too farfetched to imagine this happening right now.
