Postal Service tells Americans they share burden in mail-in voting. My reply: Go suck a bag o' dix

The under-the-gun U.S. Postal Service is telling Americans they have a shared responsibility to make sure mailed ballots reach official vote counters in time.

In an ongoing mass mailing of its own, the USPS states on a postcard, “We’re ready to deliver for you. Make sure you’re ready too.”

The notice comes as the Postal Service gears up for its most challenging political mission in history: deliver an estimated 80 million ballots by Nov. 3.

My grandfather was a postman and retired as postmaster of our city after 27 years of service.

He would have kept working until death if not for a drunk witch smashing his car one morning in August of '74. Had to retire due to injuries. He was a great man and worked very hard to provide good service to everyone.

He believed in the postman oath and kept it.

That said. I don't have any responsibility to do jackshit for the USPS. Neither does anyone else other than USPS employees.

USPS has been getting crappier by the day since the '90s. They provide less services, work less hours and are always begging for govt. assistance.

Poor customer service is the norm and some of the employees I have had to deal with are just nasty. In appearance and attitude.

I am nervous anytime I send or am expecting to receive packages or important documents. Tracking, if provided, is unreliable and poorly updated. They repeatedly lose, damage and steal from customers.

Covid and fires are no excuse because these fux were horrible at their job long before this disaster of a year started.
The dead are just the undead waiting to happen.

All they are telling you, is that if you don't put your ballot in the mail, at least two weeks before the election, it wouldn't make it on time and that is on you.

USPS is getting their arse handed to them from my perspective.

UPS, Amazon Prime, Fed-x.... no problem getting a package to my door. In the last week Ive had to go down 4 times to the post office to pick up packages the USPS cannot seem to get to my door.

I get there, I wait in a long, masked line of people, I tell them what I need, they take notes, drink coffee, mill around, go in the back, come back without the package half the time for more info and a tracking number, go in the back, come back with one of the four packages I need, take more info, go in the back, then the package is somehow back on the delivery truck and not at the Postal office like the notice in my box says so I have to come back another day. Its maddening.

And, as I understand, they operate in the red needing perpetual fed bailouts to stay operational. They really are having their lunch eaten by the competition.

But trust them with millions of mail-in ballots to be received, sorted, and delivered as the backbone of our critical election process. Throw in 10s of millions of counterfeit ballots intended to grind the whole process to an instransigent hault for political purpose. Sheesh.

Im just saying... looks like an impending cluster fuck.
