In fact, it is normally assumed an incumbent candidate will remain in position and should therefore continue with normal duties. Obama was on his way out, just as he should not have been allowed to make changes to classified info sharing just before leaving office. Oh, that and elections have consequences, and we elected a republican majority to the senate. another great point. |

I feel like you're trolling. Trump will take it there. You literally wrote that the SC would overturn the election. The SC basically overturned the 2000 presidential election. So don't say it couldn't happen. |

Everything User ID: 77753356 United States 09/18/2020 11:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | my take is Biden wins on election night barely. when all the absentee/mail in votes are counted a bigger win for Biden. Then Trump sends it to the SC ... Quoting: NDFarm Like Al Gore did? Al Gore didn't have a hand-picked biased Supreme Court to steal the election for him. Hanging chads had nothing to do with becoming president, it was a show for the people, Gore lost the Electoral College so he lost and knew it, he even did his say to Bush his best wish after the election until someone called him to with draw it. Gore could not win an election he lost already, it the Electoral College and he lost that, and no extra count of hanging chads would have made any difference. Hillary had lost way before the election took place, she should have known you had already lost by the true polls coming in and not her fake ones. You can fool the people a lot after a while they start waking up to bull crap, and here crap what smelling real bad. People who were around during Bill and Hillary during their term as president and yes Bill said with one you get two, co-president and Hillary sure believed she was elected when he was. You know they did this separate and put her in a secret vote in the democrat platform that year. They brought their troubles all the way from Arkansas with China also with them. Trump has every right as president and the Senate has every right to put in a new Judge replacement, Democrats seem to forget they have been stuffing the courts since FDR. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

Joseph Biden who chaired the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 1993. Biden established certain rules for questioning nominees: The Biden rules stipulated that she had no obligation to answer questions about her personal views or on issues that might come before the Court. Despite her silence, the Senate confirmed Ginsburg, 93-3. dang good memory, nice post. Ken My personal thoughts & posts are mine alone. I Love God, Jesus, good people, and the U.S.A. the way the Framers signed the Constitution and Bill of Rights. In my real world life I don't have a problem with standing up to those with solid evidence of corruption from either side, of any issue or place. Many are they in this world that need to be rooted out. That makes me a target to be destroyed by very powerful people, I understand this. At some point we have to stand up for what is right before God. I have done this, lived this way, and will continue to do so till they finish me off or I croak of natural causes. |

Time for a real 3rd party candidate. I'll agree with you there. And as usual...OMMISSION is prominent to the argument - in attempting to show McConnell as hypocritical. WHAT is left out of the narrative: "eight months before" the 2016 election, the Presidency and Senate were held by differing parties. When you really look at that, you'll understand, that (the Senate had every right to hold up the vote, as they have the constitutional duty to vote or not vote, as the decision is theirs...and therefore if the pres is of differing party/beliefs, it's their role to not hold the vote ). In the present case: the presidency and the senate are of the same party...so it's completely w/in their rights - indeed their duties - to nominate and confirm a new Jus. of the SC, immediately. Nice try to spin. But it's all political as usual. Both sides do the same shit. Yeah agreed, it was a nice try of mine...as IT IS CONSTITUTIONAL. The Senate is given THIS right (to do so or not). So of course, they will use this power for their purposes. There was no hypocrisy by the Repb's. I'm sorry you don't like (the way) the written powers of the US Constitution are delineated. You may be amazed at (just how remarkable those powers really are); and how they really do protect all of us. |
