very strange. this could be some Manchurian candidate type stuff. the subject being in a state of heightened suggestibility, the gargled words could be hypnotic seeds. the seeming mystery of it making it so they wouldn't know they're being coerced.

I've seen some pretty interesting scientific studies on stuff like this, it's been ongoing for decades. they supposedly reverse-engineered the human brain, and know that it's input-output, stimuli driven. this could be a working model for actively tapping the mind.

or, they just like to fuck with people.

the mind is very susceptible to external stimuli. by mapping the brain, you can figure out how the brain will react to various, seemingly meaningless, sounds.

in theory, if you're clever enough, you could potentially use this info to create a kind of language incognito, to speak directly to the brain, without the individual being consciously aware of any changes taking place.

this would be the sort of task that an AI would do well: endless trial and error, and constant refinement. the internet is a target-rich environment, with very little recourse for abuse and exploitation by powerful interests.

I totally recall hearing about this, but was standing next to the chopper and couldn't here it that well. Just before the recording terminated, I thought I heard it also.
