I grew up in a medium size city in the midwest, and kids who hunted would often have rifles in their truck in the school parking lot. For decades, this was how it was, and how many school shootings happened? None that I can think of. The Columbine massacre was in 1999, at a time when the efforts to remove religion from schools was well underway. If you truly think religion in schools caused school shootings and violence, you really need to do some research. You are simply as wrong as you can be. Quite the opposite is true. The current violence and shootings began happening after religion was removed from schools and a lot of daily life. in the 60s and 70s guns weren't so readily available, remember the internet made it easy access to get guns, imagine if the internet existed in the 60s and 70s? LOL it probably would've been so much worse, don't forget the 60s and 70s people were doing HEAVY drugs, imagine if someone doing drugs had access to guns, yea no that would have been so much worse. It was easier to get guns in the 60's and 70's than it is today. There were very little background checks then. No computers to link if you were a felon. You just went into a gun shop or gun trade show and purchased a weapon... As of the people doing Heavy Drugs, that was the Counter Culture back then. Tune in and drop out. They didn't want guns because that was part of the Establishment. All they wanted was peace and love... The radicals that had guns and did terroristic acts were groups like the Black Panthers and the Weather Underground. They were influenced by Social Radicalism and Communism... Now these same people, that were Social Radical's, are in Congress writing the laws of the land... Time to drain the swamp... |
