It is well to note that all of threats, warnings, blustering, etc., from the Dems is indicative of one thing - they’re screwed. Legally and procedurally. And they know it.

The only thing that can derail a confirmation are gutless, weak Republicans. And therein lies the Dems best chance, because of a misguided need by some on the right to “please” the left. The left has no such qualms or moral conscience, as we’ve seen time and time again. I wish I could say I was hopeful, but I’m pessimistic. Maybe someday the weak Republicans will wake up and start fighting, but it hasn’t happened yet. It’s almost like they have a pathological need for acceptance from the left, who just laugh at their stupidity and take complete advantage of them, over and over. It’s just sad.
