I don't get it. How can a bank take your money just because of where you live.
I mean banks can tell you they no longer want your business, and you can move your money into another bank.
are the rules different in UK of where you can put your money.?
Quoting: Grove Street Nowhere is it mentioned the banks will take the money, the way I understand it expats will just have to open an account at a bank in the country of residence and have their funds transfered. I think this is a measure to prevent tax evasion, it will probably be harder to get a hold of the data required for the UK and vice versa. Too bad British pensioners, no tax evasion for you! That's a right reserved for corporations and the uberwealthy.
