Neighbors chased the man down and cornered him, but he ran off again before police arrived. The police have acknowledged that the delay was unacceptable - however they cited a record number of retirements and fatigued officers who have been covering months of BLM protests. "This is not the service our community expects, nor is it what we want to provide," said Deputy Police Chief Cris Davis. That said, 49 officers have retired and nine have resigned since July. According to Davis, other officers are injured or on vacation - leaving the bureau with around 310 officers on patrol divided between three precincts. 102 of those officers don't have full training, Davis added. In this case, officers were simultaneously responding to a tactical call in East Precinct which required a special team, as well as monitoring a violent clash between protesters downtown and preparing for chaos that evening Neighborhood watches need to be formed, good effective ones. Better yet. Band together as a COMMUNITY and go physically remove the little head of the little snake that is causing this grief. Recall your idiot Mayor, Portland! And if state law doesn’t “allow” for it, go camp out at your state legislators’ front lawns until they pass a law allowing it. If that doesn’t work, you’ll likely figure it out in due time - as will your Marxist wannabe “leaders.” Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79096761 What was the problem? Were the Social Workers tied up with drinking their Latte's at Starbucks? THIS^^^^^^ A delayed police response in Portland!,....Imagine that!? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69958482 Kyle Rittenhouse has more class in his little teenage pinkie than you have in your so-called “adult” fatass body. So go back to the rock you crawled out from under . The kid’s a hero. It’s called self-defense. Kyle Rittenhouse is a school shooter without a school. He threatened to kill his schoolmates for picking on him and was expelled from school. The reason he is charged with premeditated murder is because he posted his intent to kill protestors on social media, believing his identity was concealed. He sucked up to the police and they threw him to the wolves. A losers loser. And isn't it funny how both Kyle and the victims were all Bohemian Babylonian Talmudists? I thought so |

The police are now under scrutiny because it took them an hour and a half to show up after someone had been shot, although the altercation was called in to them well over an hour earlier. Its not just the BLM crap and layoff/retirements whatever because this crap has been going on here for years. |
