Re: The Flying Train, Germany, 1902: in 4k, 60fps
We are now in 2020 and to be honest it actually looks we have gone backwards. We can't even build the same way as they did back than. Or is it because we are lazy and just dont care about civilization and human progress as a whole anymore? Lately I've been watching a YouTuber with all kinds of weird theories about global reset and civilizations and a way of life we dont even seem to know about anymore. Old huge buildings being built in 1 or 2 years, we take longer and build shittier with prefab crap and not a single fuck is given about esthetics and durability of de shit we build. Like we dont want to be remembered in the future, this means we are a lower civilization than some of the olderer ones that actually build legendary beautiful things for common use and to be remembered as glorious builders. We cant even build a pyramid or make sculptures like the old greeks. Wtf happened? Mobile phones, internet, tv? Its almost like ignorance IS bliss! Most of the stuff they build in Europe after ww2 is already crumbling and falling to pieces. Look at my city of Amsterdam, used to be one of the most beautiful places, now they just build ugly steel and concrete glassy towers and dont get me started about building a subway system which they managed to totally fuck up and took like 12 years longer than planned. How and what the hell happened? With less machines and technology we actually made better stuff? Just my 2 cents

Re: The Flying Train, Germany, 1902: in 4k, 60fps
That train is still there, and the reason it was built has to do with the way the down is laid out and its location in a river valley. You can read up on it.

After the yews got control after world war two we became more concerned about opening up the culture to smut than engineering feats such as this. Society became more consumerist and profit driven after companies began to use the teaching of Freud and yung on a large scale.

It's actually called a suspended railway and this one is based on an American system. Quite a few countries had them actually.

Re: The Flying Train, Germany, 1902: in 4k, 60fps
A lot of cities are building streetcars using taxpayer money which travel at about a jogging pace if you are lucky and take up road space. They run huge losses and are a complete waste of tax dollars. Few people ride them as you could walk the same distance.

This train is actually useful but my point is be careful what you wish for...transportation projects that are a budgetary black hole and are not necessary. Lefties cream themselves over high speed rail systems that don't make a lot of sense in some cases...in others they might...

Ye olde Tartaria. Notice the lack of population. They were still populating the world after the last reset. Probably just figured out how to operate this train so they took footage which is also in question as to its own introduction.

Is used to have cartography en geography as a hobby in primary school, because i wasnt allowed to skip a class and go to high school but I was bored stiff. Reading old maps and being from the Netherlands and knowing of Mercator's projection and maps, I've always wondered what the hell his maps were showing, Tartaria is there, so is a strange North Pole with a rock in the middle, i know latin so i can read most of his maps but they just dont make any sense. Even an old Amsterdams coin has the weapon, or coat of arms, of Tartaria depicted as a few other places we never heard from. I'll try and find a few old maps and post them here if allowed dont want to hijack a thread. Lol
Anyway cool thread this was oldskool glp before politics came butting in. And this place became a social experiment for unnameble organisations.......
