The whole purpose of the study was to find Anthropogenic hazards, hazards caused by human action or inaction. For them to equate human hazards from salt laid down between 600 and 540 million years ago, shows just how biased their study was. Granted we have caused plastic contamination but not in salt from then. It comes from Harvard no less, you know the ones that claim humans are the cause of anything bad on earth. Not believing it for a minute. Quoting: Seeker of Truth [link to dataverse.harvard.edu (secure)] You're an optimist, cool. Reading the statica case study of human crimes, I'd say we're the abnorm, and the norm is damaging. |

Oh, I'm on your side as every time we sailed across the Pacific we went through tons of garbage, and even stopped a couple times to scoop up what we could, so yea definitely lots of plastic from humans out there but not deposited in salt that old. |

Essentially, they found a marketable use for their toxic wast from refining oil Profit from the refined oil and gas...sell your waste off and make more profit. win-win Plastic isn't going anywhere any time soon I do miss glass containers. Glass milk jugs, glass soda bottles....plastic containers contaim bpa...biphenol A... which emuylates estrogen in the human body. Aluminum is also not good for you. Some studies show aluminum is linked to alzheimers |

But I wonder if some sort of fasting routines could do the trick. |

Especially children. How about all those years of wax coated milk containers? I could go on. It's a decent concern. But what will replace this substance is the real question. I say, it can't be done. It's convenient and without anything to replace, there's not much we can do---me thinks... Living has taught me one thing; nothing is certain...except salvation through Jesus Christ! |

There still exist questions regarding the occurrence, fate, transport, and effect of atmospheric microplastics. Breathing it, eating it, sleeping in it, living in it, playing in it... Yeah, biiiiig fuckin' surprise we're shitting and probably pissing it out. |
