Quoting: Watcher of the End Game The upcoming election might be decided by the Supreme Court. Yep. There's a very good chance significant election related issues or even the outcome itself will be decided by SCOTUS. And if they haven't put another judge up, it'll end up split 4 to 4. And then one happens? Election is up in the air and there is no body capable of deciding the outcome. This could end up being the biggest clusterfuck of a clusterfuck filled year. Such a thing has the potential of being the biggest upset our republic has ever suffered. |

It’s that simple.” They're dreaming...as they will hold neither house of Congress. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76619323 As the country mourned the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Friday, President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said they would move forward on a vote for her replacement. The idea sparked fury in the Democratic party, leading numerous prominent figures to voice their support for court “packing,” or filling the nation’s highest bench with more than the original nine judges. “Mitch McConnell set the precedent. No Supreme Court vacancies filled in an election year. If he violates it, when Democrats control the Senate in the next Congress, we must abolish the filibuster and expand the Supreme Court,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) tweeted Friday. They better remember how they behaved when the tables are turned. Do they honestly think that Republicans cannot "pack the court."? We'll remember: "Nothing is off the table." It's like Lee Iaccoca said, "Grow a brain cell, think for yourself, or die and go away." peacelove.me |
