They never would have guessed that blacks, women, etc, would ever be given an equal vote to men or they would have prohibited it. Yes. Universities started becoming $$$ magnets back years ago after WWII when Uncle Scam started financing or backing the financing of education. They begin letting unqualified people in, but up through most of the 70's let them flunk out.

With Affirmative Action, the demand that women and "blacks" be admitted and graduate in "equal" proportion to their population numbers, universities complied and increased the number unqualified admitted, and started giving degrees to unqualified people.

In the US today we have a significant number of incompetent people with university credentials.

You make a valid point. I don't really know the answer but perhaps one should have to qualify in some regard in order to obtain voting privileges. High School diploma, land ownership and perhaps a penis should be the minimum standard. I'm not being funny either.
