That's why masks worn in parts of Asia never stopped people from catching airborne viruses like the flu. The flu season came regardless of mask wearing in Asia. If unfiltered air currents can get into the mask and give you the covid or flu than it only stands to reason those very same air currents can leave the mask too as this video demonstrates.

It even says right on the mask box that it won't prevent the catching and spreading of airborne viruses. The masks are meant to be bacterial catchers not airborne virus catchers. We are not surgeons operating on open wound here.

Airborne, travels by itself through the air over medium to large distance on the wind...fail

Is spread in doors and semi indoors in unconfined free moving pubs, clubs, restaurants, supermarkets, sporting venues, malls...fail

Is spreading in doors in confined limited movement homes, nursing homes, aged care, hospitals, jails, hotels, cruise ships...check
