Any advice for a 26 year old right now?
I barely have any family or good relationships. I honestly don't know what to do. I don't even have a "trade" and people keep telling me I can't make it without one. What should I do to help me survive this ordeal?

go to a subreddit called "theredpill" and man yourself up. Work out, clean up your diet, get some good habits, and get a job that pays at least $18/hour in an area with a good cost of living. Self discipline and long term goal setting will get you to shine above the rest of the unwashed masses.

If I were your age I'd forget college and start working on IT certifications. The resources to get started cost very little. Its all online these days.

See if there is an apprenticeship program or a technical college. Electrical or hvac. Try to go union if you can. I have been in the International Union of Elevator Constructors for 33 years and getting ready to retire with a nice pension and benefit package.
Heck, maybe try the military like the Navy or Airforce.

Concentrate on being happy with yourself.

Times are tough right now, but there is plenty of work out there.

Identify your passion and monetize it - then you will never work another day in your life.

But you will thrive.

If possible, try to talk to people who work for companies around you. Some companies do things like have people start in low level jobs and then promote them out of those jobs. Other companies have people start in low level jobs and fire them all in six months. You need to know which one you're dealing with, obvs.

Good luck.

Re: Any advice for a 26 year old right now?
I have LOTS of advice:

1. Sit down with a blank sheet of paper and a cup of coffee if that helps you concentrate. Ask yourself, "Why am I here? What is my purpose in life? What do I want out of life? Etc."

BTW, my plans included getting a good education, marrying a woman who loves me, working in the space program, having some kids and raising them right, living a long life, owing my own business, and a few others. I eventually accomplished ALL of those.

2. Make a plan to get where you want to be. Include areas like health, making and saving money, acquiring the skills and education for your goals, specifying what kind of woman you want (Oops. I assumed you are a guy. Simply modify if you are a woman).

Things I did to get to my goals: B.S in engineering from a good school, M.A. in economics so I could forecast the future, dating/interviewing about 200 women before getting married (fun, but kinda emotionally exhausting), continually learning new subjects, and raising some great kids.

BTW, the relationships that you build are the MOST important parts of your life goals. I am married to a beautiful woman who loves me totally. One of my kids is a scientist, two are accountants, and one runs my company. Those kids are my MOST important accomplishments of my life.

Don't ever forget that YOU are the master of your fate. You are in charge. Don't be afraid to take on challenges such as learning a new skill. Have faith in The Almighty and ask for help. Pray and listen for His advice.

Worked for me.

Also, look for tutorials for different popular office computer programs online. You should be able to find free ones. This was you are at least familiar with those programs.

If I could talk to my 26 year old self, I would tell me, "They're right. Money does not buy happiness, but it does solve problems. Learn the markets, and do whatever you have to do to get enough $ together to open a Forex account and an index account."
I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again.

OP,

My best advice for you regarding GLP is this.

If you ever met a GLPer in life you would realize the true meaning of "you're not worth the air you breathe." The rest of us struggle with having to deal with each other.
