I am not defending anyone. Can't you read?
 Quoting: the decider

I don't get your thought pattern. Maybe I am wrong, but are we to assume that you are saying they should have waited till she was strolling along in some park with her guard down and then they should have moved in on her and her boyfriend and arrested them or issued them the search warrant? So the police should sit around all day waiting for her to leave her house? That might have been a good idea I guess…
 Quoting: Centurion

If you want to get my thought pattern, READ WHAT I WROTE. I was plain as day about what I thought they should have done.
 Quoting: the decider

"If Breonna was the target, she was very low risk to roll up on as she drove up to park in her driveway alone. That way it is out in the open, the cops are easily identifiable, and she has no excuse to resist."

I read what you wrote... So you are saying have a shootout in her driveway? Right?.

You see over and over how these Black people resist arrest, cause the situation to become toxic and dangerous. It has happened over and over again. I am not arguing with you. I am just trying to understand why you think they should follow her around and arrest her or serve her a warrant in public when she and her THUG boyfriend are both dangerous? It seem like whenever blacks are confronted by police in public they try to make the issue worse and make it much more violent and dangerous for themselves and others. That's all I am saying BUD!
 Quoting: Centurion

The cops had been in her place and spoken with her before. She was not a threat. Surveillance was being done, already. All they had to was catch her alone (coming from the grocery store, for instance) and stop her and show her a warrant and go in.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

Fuck Breanna and her criminal boyfriend....You hang with garbage you’re bound to end up in in trouble or dead.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75788399

It wasn't her "boyfriend". Officially she was dating someone else. This apartment was another guys, she was supposed to have been "Just a friend" and "hanging out " there.

Oh really?

She was the money guy for a drug gang, She would stash the cash. That's why the man whose apartment she was in shot through the door, the retard figured it was a robbery, that someone had found out and was after the cash. They had found out alright. DEA had been following them for months.

The cops did not shoot first they shot back. They announced themselves and knocked on the door. There are tapes of the incident.

then after Brianna is shot, the retard who is arrested has the audacity to talk from a prison phone and CONFESS EVERYTHING!!!! The tapes are online.

Try to keep up.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78686355

I read today that Breanna had gunpowder residue on her hands. If true, she shot at the cops. whatever

The facts.

It is a criminal offense (official oppression) for police to enter a residence without presenting a warrant.
 Quoting: Centurion

A no-knock warrant is a search warrant authorizing police officers to enter certain premises without first knocking and announcing their presence or purpose prior to entering the premises. Such warrants are issued where an entry pursuant to the knock-and-announce rule (ie. an announcement prior to entry) would lead to the destruction of the objects for which the police are searching or would compromise the safety of the police or another individual.

Justice will be done.

The officers are not guilty. They had a reason to go to her apartment and shot her in self defense.

These are the facts.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40844279

This isn't a trial so there isn't any verdict coming down. I disagree that she was killed in self defense. They didn't have to go in with guns blazing to search her house. They had been there before and could have easily stopped her, alone, anywhere, any time, and told they had a warrant to search her place and it could have been done without any fanfare or violence. They paid out that huge settlement for a reason.

I'm really disappointed that so many people engage in this black or white (borderline!) thinking of all cops bad or all cops good. It's not the truth. Sometimes they're good and sometimes they're psychopaths. We've sure had hundreds of threads, on GLP, over many years, about horrible murders by the police which they often get away with. Conservatives should never make excuses for this shit. And, that doesn't mean supporting the other side. It means to examine each incidence, without bias, and to tell the truth.

I hate these commie fucks and I hate abuses by the police. It's possible to hate both. Neither one has any place in a sane and free society.

Do you think it is constitutional to stop someone on the side of the highway and rob them at gunpoint?

Sorry, it does not say "MUST PRESENT A WARRANT". They had probable cause to get a search warrant issued by a judge. They acted within the scope of the Search Warrant issued.

Why werent there protests and riots for WACO?
 Quoting: slivervx

Funny should bring up Waco because I was thinking about that and Ruby Ridge. The people here who support how the cops went in at Breonna's house probably supported the the psychopathic killers who attacked Randy Weaver and his family and the Branch Davidians.

There was a reaction to those events and it was the forming of militias all over. That got destroyed when the FBI and Southern Poverty Law Center bombed the Murrah Bldg in Oklahoma City and blamed it on the militia movement.
 Quoting: thinking...

Oddly enough you are wrong. The same people up in arms over Randy Weavers wife and son and Waco will defend these cops because the victim is black.

WE ARE SO FUCKED, all of us, unless we stand together.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79403672

There may be some of that but the bootlickers usually defer to the man and say that the murdered parties should have obeyed. You see it here in thread after thread. In the case of that poor guy murdered while begging for his life in the Arizona motel, they were all over those threads saying the victim should have complied with the conflicting orders being screamed at him by the psychopath cop.

Re: Louisville verdict Breonna Taylor thread! one officer charged! No other charges for the other officers! Multiple Cities planning protest tonight!
Breonna Taylor was an EMT at a certain point in her life, but she was not an EMT by the time the police arrived at her home. A man was found dead in a rental car that was taken out in Breonna Taylor’s name and she was fired as a result of that. Breonna’s name was on the warrant police served on her home. Police did have a no-knock warrant but they did not use it. Court documents state that Breonna Taylor was involved with the drug game and that’s why there was a no-knock warrant approved for her home.

Court documents say that police knocked on the door to serve the warrant. Breonna Taylor and her boyfriend were not sleeping when the police were at the door. They were both in the hallway. The boyfriend shot first and through the door, alleging that the police did not identify themselves although the police say they did. Police returned fire on the boyfriend. He was not shot one time, but Breonna was shot eight times. It is possible that the boyfriend used Taylor as as human shield.

Damn right. There does seem to be conflicting information as to whether this was a no knock warrant, though. Either way, the way it was done was reckless and stupid and had now led to all of this uproar and 25 million paid out in sorry money.
 Quoting: thinking...

What exactly was done wrong?.

The information was that they had a no-knock warrant for that house. The officers decided to knock twice and announced themselves.

The banged on the door and the boyfriend shot at them through the door. I’m guessing the boyfriend thought it was a rival gang or he didn’t care and open fired on the police.

The officers returned fire. The police were in the right in the incident.

Personally, to me it’s a sign of a tyrannical government that uses no-knock raids on its civilians.

I’m NOT siding with the dumbass liberals, just stating that I view “no knock” raids as unconstitutional.

Except in the case of a hostage, there is no place in a civilized society for no knock raids or even SWAT raids. It just shouldn't happen.

Damn right. There does seem to be conflicting information as to whether this was a no knock warrant, though. Either way, the way it was done was reckless and stupid and had now led to all of this uproar and 25 million paid out in sorry money.

I don't think there should be "no knock warrants" except if someone is being held hostage or it's for the arrest of someone suspected of murder or rape.

It wasn't a no knock warrant, so your comment means nothing in this thread.

innocent til proven quilty has become dead and we will prove u were quilty of something.

all those who think this is OK cause she was quilty are saying from now on u can not shoot a burglar. u must wake up and make surew it is not a cop before u fire. BANG u are dead. before they rape your wife and daughter. still want to keep thinking that way?

under the current rules, they make up info to get a warrant. remember they did this to TRUMP. fake info got the warrant. so they can search your home for evidence with a fake warrant. that is un-constitutional.

on youyr way to work tomorrow, stop along the road and tear out everything in your car;seats everything. now drive to work after u put it all back. how late are u? did u get fired? wanta explain it to the boss when the cops do it? just cause they feel like it. don't need eveidence just make up BS.

You've been shown over and over that the police knocked on the door and announced they were serving a warrant. You ignore the fact that the cops were shot at first. AFTER they identified themselves.

People should just ignore this numbnut.
