I admit that if Schumer were a conservative or rightist, I'd feel differently about the heckler. Actually, such hecklers have been common at gatherings of conservatives or even certain liberals, although they're been of the left, not right.

If Schumer were at least a principled, honorable, ethical liberal, I wouldn't be doing as much LOL and smirking at him, and not viewing the heckler in such a "high five" way.

In turn, if the leftism and rightism were reversed, would you still be quite so nicey-huggy towards a scumbag Schumer, but a Schumer on the right instead of the left?

If that alternative version of a real-life Schumer were identical in every way except his being a conservative and not a liberal, I'd be damn embarrassed about his being on the right.
