I’ve lived in Canada all my life and have never heard or seen any prime minister requesting airtime from all national networks.
So this is why I think the request could be ominous.

If we see other countries joining in on the airtime thing, we’ll know something is up, possibly something very serious, possibly earth-shattering (either literally or figuratively) or world-changing.

But until the announcements are made, there’s little point in speculating on what could be afoot. You could go down those rabbit holes all day and never make the right prediction.
