Every airport and many hotels are infested. 4) Rubbling alcohol works very well. It dehydrates them, even the eggs you can't see, it is cheap and safe for humans. Put it in a spray bottle and go crazy on anything you can't wash/dry in the machines. 5) Wash your sheets and PJs every. single. day. until you're sure they're gone. Usually Curious 2018 |

Legit talked my ear off for a two hour car ride about them. I remember him saying they were resilient to normal bug infestation solutions, and I specifically remember him saying they hide in the pages of closed books on the shelf. Sound like a bitch. I lived in NYC for 9 years and I guess I lucked out. I’m gonna go ahead and scratch some phantom itches now. |

We had a shoot for the Australian version of Survivor, and they brought in a shitty mattress to light on fire durning the shoot. Flash forward to two weeks later, I start getting bites on my wrists and ankles. I started catching them in bags. You could stab them with a needle and they still live. $2000 to heat treat all my stuff, still didn’t work. Basically had to get rid of most everything I had, move and start over. Good luck to you. I know they don’t like heat over like 98 degrees. Hope you can push them out. They can lay dormant without feeding for up to 6 months. The ptsd still lingers anytime I get a weird bite now. @rubyheartdrips |

(Make sure you go to wally mart before and buy some pants and a new shirt, but leave them outside in the back yard...) Douse all belongings inside the house with gasoline... Light a match before leaving your back door, drop it... Get dressed in the back yard with your new pants and shirt and watch all the horror burn to the ground... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79337159 Romania 09/23/2020 07:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hate that PTSD from bed bugs while sleeping, until this summer I never had this kind of annoying bugs but looks like you can get rid of them with this [link to www.amazon.in (secure)] bedbugs hate sun and hot temperatures so opening your windows in a sunny day do wonders, in my situation they came from my dirty neighbours which is the most common case. also be aware of any humid and dark places near your apartment, like attics or cellars, they multiply so fast in this type of places that even with expert treatment wont work from the 1st time... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78431218 United States 09/23/2020 07:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have found that DIATOMACEOUS EARTH is the best way. You need to layer a fine dust on everything and just wait. spray the dust into every crack and crevice. DUST YOUR MATRESS and box spring and cover them with bed bug proof covers. best liquid spray is a spray with cedar and mint essential oils. they hate it. The diatomaceous earth cuts up their exoskeleton when the ingest or walk through it. The diatomaceous earth is non toxic but can really dry out your skin. Use a mask and gloves when applying. |

Damn, lol Yeah I think I've had them before I knew I had them. Started from the matress, at first I thought I was just getting some kinda heat rash or something because the bites kinda feel like that sometimes. Wasn't thinking of it and I'd be all itching around my hands, arms, legs, feet. I was like what the fuck is this? Then I started actually looking at my mattress and sure as shit they were there after I pulled up around the corners of the blankets to uncover the mattress itself. They were all around the inseams. Pretty much made the mistake of dragging it out of the house made it worse pretty much. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78084643 United States 09/23/2020 08:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You have my condolences OP. Used to work in the motel industry, and they were the bane of our motels existence(required constant pest control). As for the PTSD, that never goes away. Worst I ever had in my home was sand fleas from Florida. Still freak out when a spec of dust lands on me. As far as bed bugs, if you have any spare rooms in your house, clean out one room, buy an air mattress and sleep in it(granted, make sure you don't contaminate the room and clean it regularly). Bed bugs can only travel about 20ft a night. There are ways you can bed bug proof the doorways. If your looking for a more holistic approach: [link to www.bedbugsbites.net (secure)] [link to news.psu.edu (secure)] It is not ideal, but something I considered when dealing with an incredibly creepy stink bug infestation/invasion(using natural predators). But like with a black mold infestation, your going to have to throw alot of stuff out and be a minimalist for awhile. |

Turns out I'm highly allergic. The bites whelp up on me badly..took a week to figure out what they were. Look for small blood stains near the headboard on the sheets. bedbugs are very small. Costs about 500.00 to get rid of them. THey have to break down your entire bed and treat everything..bedrames etc. |

Hence the small blood stains on the sheet. They only come out at nite..and are attracted to the warm etc of YOU |

I've no experience with bed bugs, but diatomaceous earth worked well and fast against a flea problem I had when I had cats. Just sweep and brush it everywhere - it will make your place look like it's decorated for a Halloween or Christmas party.
