Having gone through 12 years of Catholic school, I can say that Today's kids (especially inner-city kids) would really benefit from that type of education. Along with the "three R's" we learned respect for elders and people in authority, how to get along with each other, accepting responsibility for our actions and their consequences, what are "deadlines" and how to deal with them, and many other things which helped us to grow into responsible adults.
