I'd expect Greece and France to be making some bold cultural, religious, and military moves towards aiding Armenia in the coming weeks. This has been in the cards for a while. Russia dropped the ball and it rapidly turning inward. Armenia is going the way of Serbia vis-a-vis Russia. Russia is stuck holding hands with Turkey and losing all its once allies.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11088520 I don't think they'll lose Russia as an ally as it's an important ally for them in the region. But they do play with both the US and Russia. The Armenian diaspora in the west does feed the Armenian economy a lot so you're not going to see them shit on the US either. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan is like some Islamic Stalinist state in some bizarre world, that's propped up mostly by China to sell its oil to them. Turkey getting involved would be stupid on their part as all it would do is drive them into civil war and strain relations with all its neighbors. They already have problems with Kurds, adding Armenians to that list would be disastrous to Turkey. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46979089 Turkey and Azerbaijan are what Belarus and Russia are (or were, until the population split inside Belarus). China will do business with whoever is in power and doesn't really have much sway. In fact, they'd probably like to see a very different leadership in both Turkey and Azerbaijan simply due to the Uighars, whom both Aliev and Erdogan support. The Turks are going for it all at this point. They say as much in their media.
