Read the ingredients which wasn't easy to find of the Impossible Burger. Even when Carl's Jr offered a free one I turned them down.

Will never eat fast-food again for fear of cross-contamination. No thanks.

I had a bite of one a few weeks ago. I now have a third nipple. It did taste like the real thing though.

My whole family now boycotts any restaurant that has "impossible" anything on the menu for fear of cross contamination. There's no way I would ever knowingly eat that garbage but knowing how restaurants save every scrap of leftover they can (meats into their soups etc) I'm not taking any chances. Plus, they don't likely have a separate grill for cooking frankenburger vs real beef hence cross contamination. If you see it on the menu I would highly advise just get up and go somewhere else and make sure to tell them why. Most people do not want this garbage and if they knew what the hell it is they'd barf and run! There need to be laws requiring full disclosure of ingredients wherever this crap is sold and barring cross contamination. Do NOT EAT ARTIFICIAL FOOD!

What about the other ingredients that are put in burgers like dead people.

Last year I went in to a 7-11 to buy
a fountain drink. Couldn't buy one
because for what ever reason, the
soda station wasn't working.

So I got back in the car and happened
by a Carl's Jr about 20 seconds down
the street. The place had a few customers,
nobody inside. So I go in and order a soda.

Long story short, it happened to be Carl's Jr's
anniversary, and they were giving away a free
"Beyond Superstar Burger" to any customer
ordering a soft drink. Hadn't ever heard
it before and said, "sure".

They actually had it ready as I was walking
away from filling up my drink. Wasn't really
hungry in the heat, and set the burger next
to me on the passenger seat.

About 3 minutes later, I'm saying to myself,
"My gawd, what is that awful smell?" I had
dumped bunch of trash two days before, so
I pulled over to see if there was a bag or
something I missed in the back.

Nope. You know where this leads.

Now, I looked at the Carl's Jr. bag
and thought, "Dayum. That smell can't
be coming from that bag." It was.

So I unwrapped it and that foul smell
escaped further. I already knew I wasn't
going to eat this thing. So I grabbed the
burger and ripped it into two halves.

The inside of the "burger" looked like
raw, bloody meat. It was disgusting.

Not realizing that it was some vegan knock-off
that is supposed to look like medium-rare meat,
I drove back to the Carl's Jr.

Not to complain about the free HAMburger,
but to warn them that maybe a new employee
might have terribly under-cooked what I
thought was a spoiled hamburger patty.

No cars were in the drive-thru and I was
not willing to get out again. So I pull
up and tell window girl about all of this.

She explains that it is not meat, about it
being a vegan burger that *looks* like
medium rare meat, yada, yada, yada.

I restated that I just wanted to make sure
it wasn't an inexperienced new cook who was
sending out "raw spoiled hamburgers".

She smiled and said thanks. It takes
me about 15 minutes to get home.

Bloody Beyond Burger torn in half, still
sitting on the seat beside me as I pull
up. The dogs come running and with them
now sitting, waiting for the treat, I set
the sandwich halves on the hood, removed
the onions, reassemble the damn things
and give em' the two halves.

Their excitement changed when
they smelled the food I had set
before them on the ground.

Neither of the dogs would eat it.

In fact...

They smelled it, then looked guilty
and stepped a foot or three back
away from it. So I pick up the two
halves from the ground, and throw
them back in front of the dogs, as
I am saying to them in an uplifting
voice, "We-----ll, eat it!"

As I am saying this, they both freaked
out, dodging away from the "food" as it
was in mid-air, and they took off a runnin'
like they were being chased by the canine
boogey-man itself.

I immediately burst into laughter.

Totally uncharacteristic of them.
They'll eat fucking anything.I have
seen them catch rabbits and eat them.

So I am standing there, fuckin' cracking up
with tears in my eyes, because of the way that
they ran-off, you would have swore that I threw
two hand-grenades at them.

Say..Did you know that the structure of hemoglobin

Anyway...

Now, you are probably wondering what became
of the two halves of the human be'an burger?

Well, them two dogs bolted so quickly, they
were probably already a good 15 to 20 feet
away before those things ever hit the ground.

The two halves exploded on impact and the
dissected ingredients laid there before me.

So I go in for a closer look of this beyond meat.

The outside didn't look like grilled hamburger,
it looked more like seared skin. On the inside,
it resembled a flesh wound. I can't even tell
you what it smelled like, other than it stunk.

I picked up the whole mess and stuffed it
in the bag, with the dogs acting spooked
and keeping their distance the entire time.

That is some Soylent Green™ shit right' there.
