Compliance training - this is what it's all about. In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not. The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane. |
Lazy Bar Steward User ID: 35158526 United Kingdom 09/28/2020 02:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I swear these lawmakers are on meth when they make up the laws or trying to see who can come up with the craziest idea. Quoting: superflyscot ...other rules have also come into law today which ban pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes from playing music which exceeds 85 decibels, although live performances are exempt. The new laws also say that pub landlords or those who run other venues like hotel bars, restaurants and members clubs, must take "all reasonable measures" to stop singing on the premises by customers in groups of more than six, and dancing. Wedding ceremonies and receptions are exempt from the rule. [link to www.bbc.com (secure)] Some of these laws are beginning to sound Taliban-esque... Apart from the above restrictions on women, the Taliban has: - Banned listening to music, not only for women but men as well. - Banned the watching of movies, television and videos, for everyone. - Ordered all onlookers...refrain from clapping. - Ban on certain games including kite flying which is "un-Islamic" according to Taliban.
