My Mask Story...and Yours Too!
POLL: Do You Wear a Mask?
 Always
 Never
 Sometimes
Even outdoors (more psyco than Always)
 I do but I cheat
I tell people to put on their mask outdoors

I'd like to share my recent mask story, and I invite you to reply with a story if you wish.

I just returned to Florida from a recent trip to northern Michigan. I was there for a week and was shocked at the extreme mask wearing protocol and how willing the people were to follow it.

In Florida, we have not worn masks outside. Some people do, but they seem scared or just dumb. Although Florida stores such as the famous PUBLIX grocery market requires a mask, but I've been using a fishing tube mask that is easy to breath through, and I can pull it down around my neck. My mask provides absolutely no protection to me or nor anyone else, and I don't care, because I think COVID is a scam.

That said, my adventure to Michigan started from the Tampa International Airport, and my first time flying in the age of COVID. I expected the mask requirement, but was surprised to find the majority of businesses in the airport closed, with only a very few newsstands and a place to eat, maybe get a beer if you are lucky. Of course, being at an airport dining place you can take your mask off to eat...how nice.

On the airplane (I flew United because it was cheap, and it felt cheap) it smelled powerfully of Lysol, and there was even clouds of this "Lysol" gas thaat would poor into the cabin from the upper air system. It was weird. But I wore my fishing tube mask the entire time, and never covered my nose unless requested "ordered" to. I had one brief flight change at O'hare, a giant beast of an airport. Because O'hare is so international in nature, I got a glimpse of worldly travelers moving about, face masked and sometimes with a full plastic face shied too.

It was like a creepy Sci-Fi movie, because the airport was busy, and everyone is masked up. Both of my flights were packed without a single seat available. And it was made clear many times that we had to keep our masks on during flight. Then they served drinks and crackers, and all the passengers were now "allowed" to take our masks off, to eat and drink. And being that the drinks and chips phase of the flight lasts about an hour; I can't explain how crazy these mask rules are. It's ridiculous.

In Traverse City, the citizens are basically zombies to the draconian mask laws being forced upon the citizens by a witch State Governor named Gretta. Everyone wears masks outside! It's fucking crazy. I simply refused to wear a mask outdoors, while walking down a city street shopping area. When I would enter a store, I wore my mask as usual below my nose, and in Michigan I actually had numerous store employees tell me that I had to get my mask over my nose. So, in my passive-aggressive way, I'll be obedient to the order for a moment, and pull my mask below my nose whenever I can. It's just so inane that my mask is acceptable, if worn properly, even though my whiskers from an unshaved face poke right through the fine material, which is designed to protect the head and face from the Sun, and maybe some blowing sand, and that's about it.

However, there was one glimmer of hope. A small locally owned grocery store had a cardboard box with a sign that said FREE MASKS. I looked into the box, and to my great surprise found a box full of free masks, so I took one as a souvenier from my trip. The masks were nothing more that a Public Restroom style paper towel, with a rubber band stapled onto each side. I thought it was great, although I'm sure the subtle humor flew right over the heads of 99% of the poor souls in northern Michigan. I took a photo of the box of FREE MASKS.

If you have a story worth telling, about the fun with masks you are having, share it here. Now I understand, how much different the mask situation can be depending upon which state you are in, and what type of community mindset exists in that particular location.

Masks are mass conditioning for vaccines and digital vaccine certificates, aka the mark of the beast.

I have not worn one yet and never will. Nor will I get vaccinated or accept Bill Gate's mark of the beast.

Nope, because health is a private thing that has no business being socialized.

Next thing they will try to socialize on a mass scale is conformity to a one world religion. It's already happening.

Two things that are private and personal.

It’s required in our city but not while exercising, so I say doing just about anything outside doesn’t require a mask. Most outdoor festivals and crowd events have been cancelled.

Only at work because they force the issue and if I don't I won't get a check on Friday, otherwise, never.

Walmart always has 2 greeters in the entryway (they are mask nazis, nothing more, usually the youngest most gullible kids they can find to tell people to mask up), they always check and make people mask up, which is fine, the second that door behind me slides shut that mask is in my pocket protecting it from a virus that escaped a level 4 biolab in China.

I don't wear a mask at all anywhere anytime.

I found that the people in my area are forced to deal with my face shield and they keep their mouths shut now.

When I'm at work, I wear it but it's on a swivel so it is up over my head for 90-95% of my shift. I just flip it down for the customers that pop in and flip it back up when they leave. We aren't terribly busy.

I carry it to the grocery store in my grocery bag and I put it on just for the time that I'm in the store. Maybe 10 minutes.

No gross useless face mask for me.

I think people can sense that if they give me any shit about my face shield that I'm going to go ballistic on them. It also helps that I'm 260 pounds.

A couple of months ago the grocery store had a table at the entrance handing out masks. We hadn't bought any of the "statement" ones that everybody else had yet. At some point, the store was still offering them, but at the service desk instead of at the front door.

I don't always go to the store with my husband, sometimes I just let him take the kids so I can enjoy a few minutes of silence. I assumed he had been getting a mask for him and the kids at the store. One day, I decided to go with him and realized that he hadn't been wearing a mask at all. I told him I didn't want us to be the only douchebags not wearing a mask. Recently I've seen a few people not wearing them though.

I seem to alternate between believing it's all a hoax and then freaking out in my head about the possibility that it's not. I just can't make up my mind, lol.

I was walking down the sidewalk and a woman wearing a mask walking towards me stopped and it looked like she was going to cross the street. She stood at the road with her back to me as I walked past. Then she got back on the sidewalk and went on her way. It was like one of those experiences where the town has shunned you for something and everyone turns away from you. Very creepy.

It's not about our health either, it's about compliance. Notice how quickly all the sheep still wear their mask 9 months later, simply because a democrat governor said to while he/she glories in newfound power.

Re: My Mask Story...and Yours Too!
You are a MASK-TARD which also rhymes with MUSTARD.

Wearing masks is not an act of politics nor is it part of any pre-existing political ideologies.

It is simply an added measure to help save you and your fellow human beings from getting sick and spreading Covid-19.

It isn't about politics, it is about your health.

Nope, because health is a private thing that has no business being socialized.

Next thing they will try to socialize on a mass scale is conformity to a one world religion. It's already happening.

Two things that are private and personal.

Re: My Mask Story...and Yours Too!

Oh, I won't allow anyone to force me to do anything. But I'm of the mind that I'd rather wear the mask in public than not. Even if it is stupid and pointless. Yes, I know that sounds stupid in itself.

I only put mine on when dipshit stores require it, or I face fines. Fuck them. I have the right to fresh air and zero risk of hypoxia.
