Simmons was suspended following his response to a post from cycling journalist and commentator José Been about the upcoming US election, in which she asked supporters of Donald Trump to stop following her on Twitter. The American responded by writing “bye,” followed by an emoji of a hand with black skin tone waving.

The use of a black emoji by a white person online has been repeatedly highlighted as racist, and the term “digital blackface” has been coined to describe its usage.

By the way...Simmons is white and the journalist, Jose Been (female) is white! Now they're saying he's racist because the emoji hand waving "Bye" was dark.

Google this: emoji waving bye click on "images," and see what appears.
If you google, you have your choice of bright yellow hands or brown hands.

we must block all white cell phone users from culturally appropriating the black emoji because clearly they only use it to be racist.

apple, samsung, etc. must be held accountable and now register your race when buying a phone to lock and ban certain emojis, access to black twitter, etc.
