Of course, at that time I was almost always working — even on weekends. What I’d give to have a couple courses now. One thing I can do is get back in good shape. I need to lift more often and start jogging again, but while carrying extra weight. |

Then, and only then will I got out and spend more $$. But, if I happen to see a great deal on pasta or yeast, or the like, I might just grab an extra one of two. |

Despite what the DoomTards believe, we are NOT going to enter a zombie apocalypse. TPTB need us. But we are likely to enter periods of lockdowns, localized martial law, or civil unrest for maybe a week or two. However, you should have enough supplies for a minimum of 30 days, no less. Personally, I’ve got enough to last over 1 year, but I deliberately hold more than I need because I want to secure partnerships and allies during unrest. Food and water goes a long way to gaining someone’s assistance. Since you say funds are limited, your primary concern should be canned foods that do not require cooking. Think meat protein and vegetables. LOTS of options there. I’ve got shelves of canned chicken and turkey, and racks of canned vegetables (among many other things). And despite what others say, load up on bottled water. If your local water supply becomes infected or poisoned, you don’t want to be left trying to filter it. Have clean filtered water already on hand. Then you need firearms and ammo, both of which have skyrocketed in price, and ammunition is fast becoming scarce. So think about a bow or crossbow. Plenty of those around and lots of arrows. It’s cheap AND quiet. Also consider a WristRocket slingshot with steel or lead balls. Of course the list goes on and on and on, but you need to focus on those 3 things FIRST. Then prioritize everything else after that. .
