We Don't Have a 'Right' To Not Get Sick
I didn't write this - copied and pasted - nailed it:

We don’t have a *right* to not get sick. We are not entitled to avoiding viruses (you actually cannot ever do that. As viruses are all around you and all over you all the time. You would die otherwise).

Sickness is not illegal and it’s not the government’s job to prevent illness (and even if it were, they would fail miserably at that job). Our health is our job.

The government’s job is to uphold a free society. One where we are free to make our own decisions about our own health and our own bodies and allow people to live with the consequences of their own decisions. To trust other people to think for themselves, even when we don’t agree, and trust that if their choices turn out to be wrong, then it will be material for their journey and they’ll be forced to face their soul and take it up with God. Letting people make their own mistakes is adulting.

We don’t know the mistakes people need to make in this life to learn big lessons, but we sure spend a lot of time trying to control each other’s destiny.

And for anyone who thinks we have to control all the people because our inherent humanity is dangerous (i.e. breathing, closeness, germs and bacteria), then feel free to use your freedom to remove yourself from society and your own human-ness and go live in your bubble wrap drenched in triclosan. You are free to do that! But you are not free to tell me that I or anyone else, must practice your religion of top down, reductive “health and hygiene” practices that are antithetical to natural life. And some of us still revere and deeply trust the process of natural life cycles, and have no desire to control or intervene on the perfect dance between us and nature.

Good riddance!
