Stony Creek in Macomb County Michigan was a place where I was getting my water from only one spot that I thought was clean. The water fountain in that spot has been shut down from the last 3 years. I tested that water along with other sources in the park. I was right. The taste itself was a good indication for me that it was very clean water. If you have experienced drinking clean water, you can tell the quality of water. I am a Muslim and I suggested to a few friends of mine where we can buy a piece of land and dig for Artisan Well, but they laughed at my idea. I personally don't have the resources to go solo.
