If the cooling water is really safe to release into the ocean why is stored in huge tanks? Will the radiation stop generating before they rust thru?

Its not safe, but Japan has probably already emptied them all into the ocean by now, anyways. They've had numerous "leaks," "ruptures," and "plumbing failures" over the years.

Stainless steel is a magnificent metal (because of a pinch of chromium added to it) but no timeline match for uranium decay, no contest.

Looking at them all, how its laid out, and knowing it all gives off radiation, it kind of resembles a wireless charging pad, perhaps for ETs or our own ufos.

Have you see the cancer clinics? Biggest booming business model in the US. Half of all Americans will now develop cancer in their lifetimes.
