They'll say the taxpayers "stole" it and have to pay even higher taxes to make it up.

I say no. But it will be some brutal "negotiations" because teachers' unions around here are aggressive and shameless, you read in the NY Post how they are. They don't care, they want their money no matter what.

So stiff them. The teachers' unions around here need to start losing, they've been holding us up too long.

If their union was strong, they would walk tomorrow and hit the picket lines.
When the mob ruled the unions, companies were beholden to the workers.
You broke the union when you broke the mob.
Perhaps its time to reorganize and fight the legit powers of government. Unions have a purpose, but not under a communistic regime but through organized groups who put people to work and keep governments and companies out of screwing them over.

Most of My class of ' 85 went on to be teacher's .

I went into a trade .

They turned into snobby insane lefties after college .

looked down on me TOTALLY and other's who chose not to go to the communist training grounds .

35 years later they are all about to retire after about 20 years of on the job teaching . We do not talk any more .

When we do talk they always bring up politics .
