If you look at the graph closely, you'll note that the light yellow bars represent Europe (the biggest spike). They're entering the darker/shorter days earlier than the US since they're much further North. This will spike this winter like the seasonal flu. The death rates are much lower now (younger patients now), and the hospitals are getting better at managing the sickest ones. Buckle up though, this is far from over..
