Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78036093 That being said, just excite them every time someone knocks the door or ring the bell. "Who's that??" "Get 'em!" etc. Normally they should do that all by themselves over time when they're conditioned to the sounds, don't worry. Awesome! Currently we’re taking turns sneaking out and knocking on a door a few minutes later. When/if she barks, she gets major praise and a treat. |

Ever since then he goes mad when other dogs walk by or foxes and cats too. I also have to be very careful when we leave the house for a walk when other dogs are walking past the house as he will go for them. This has all started since he was attacked, he is 14 months old now and a huge dog too |

ANy noise she is hearing, she probably thinks someone is there to see HER LOL!! It's a new place, she should settle down with time. Try the "settle" command and when she chills, give her a treat right then...EVERY TIME. Labs are super smart, and the best dogs EVER!!! Enjoy :) A whole new level of fuckery |

Go in and out of the house a few times in an aggressive manner |

We’ll keep her leashed and would reward any aggressive reaction. |

The classes were excellent and he turned out to be highly trainable and one heck of a guard dog. Best of luck to you and your new pup! |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 78340688 United States 10/10/2020 01:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nah. Not a ‘Nam vet. My lab barks like a junkyard dog, we live on a corner so he has two views to see people and anything stroll by. He did not bark like this when he was a pup, he developed into a barker. Drives me crazy but he’s a great watchdog Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77774092 I like to hear this! Maybe with a little training we can push ours in this direction. Honestly I don’t care if she barks anytime around zero dark thirty. With a looming depression, I want a living friend whose job is to love, protect and warn! |
